Campbell Ross
Instructor Emeritus, Grande Prairie Regional College
Campbell was born in Scotland, 1942, and immigrated to Canada as a young man in 1965. He married a Canadian, Judy, from Vancouver, and lived in Grande Prairie, AB, from 1970-2011. Campbell taught public school for 20 years and college for twenty years, with increasing emphasis on northern studies and teaching. He spent a year teaching JH/SH in Fort Chipewyan, a fly-in Aboriginal community in northeast Alberta. Campbell has completed a manuscript entitled ‘Introduction to the conditions of teaching in northern Alberta’. Campbell and Judy moved to Edmonton after retirement in order to be closer to their children (2) and grandchildren (4), along with Edmonton’s significant cultural facilities.
