												Chief Nâpew Memorial School
Big Island Lake Cree Nation is the home to Chief Nâpew Memorial School, which was named after former Chief Jumbo Bighead. The school has 20 classrooms, 3 portables, and a number of facilities available. 100% of Big Island Lake’s Kindergarten through Grade 12 students are given the opportunity to participate in Cree language classes and Land-Based Learning. The school has a farm with pigs and chickens which students help with.
