Senator Allan Bird Memorial School

Named in honor of our late Elder and esteemed veteran Allan Bird, Senator Allan Bird Memorial School stands as a testament to our community’s commitment to education and respect for our heritage.

As we look towards the future, we are excited to announce plans for a new school, anticipated to open its doors by 2028. At our core, we prioritize a vibrant and engaging school experience, emphasizing clubs, extracurriculars, and activities.

Our current school facilities boast a gym, fitness center, industrial arts classroom, land-based classroom, public library, canteen, and hot meals program. We offer a diverse range of classes, including land-based learning, Cree language, fitness, and fine arts, complemented by a rich tapestry of extracurricular activities such as beading, sewing, hockey, holiday celebrations, junior chief and council participation, bingo, fish derbies, spirit week, Terry Fox Run, and Pow Wow dancing.
