Preparing for the North
Are you interested in learning more about what it takes to teach in a northern First Nation? Join the Gakino’amaage: Teach For Canada team as we hear from two teachers currently working in the North. They will share how they prepared for the transition and what their day-to-day lives in a remote First Nation are like. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the Northern teaching experience and to ask any questions you may have!
The conversation will be moderated by the Teacher Recruitment Team. We encourage all participants to participate in this conversation through the chat box and by providing us feedback through the poll question at the end of the event. Are you interested in going North with non-teaching family members? We encourage them to participate in this webinar so they can assess their own fit for a northern First Nation.
Gakino’amaage: Teach For Canada is dedicated to making our events accessible for all participants. Closed captioning will be available in English during the presentation. Should you require any accommodations (e.g. audio/visual support) to participate fully in this event, please contact selection@teachforcanada.ca.
