Brittany Wilkinson
Teacher Development Manager (Parental Leave Cover)

Brittany is an Ontario Certified Teacher with additional qualifications in English, Special Education, Teaching English Language Learners, and Understanding FNMI Traditional Teachings, Histories, Current Issues and Cultures. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelor of Education from OISE, and a Teaching English as a Second Language certificate from Seneca College.

Brittany is known as a compassionate, resourceful and resilient educator with a strong sense of curiosity and love of learning.  She is committed to building positive relationships with those around her.  Brittany has taught both children and adults in communities in Ontario and abroad, including those with strong populations of self-identified Indigenous students, in newcomer communities, and in rural areas of Abu Dhabi, as well as in the English for Academic Purposes program at Georgian College.

Brittany’s interest in teaching, along with her desire to travel and make a positive impact, go back to her undergraduate days, where she volunteered with Global Youth Education Network, travelling to India and Guatemala and later to Ecuador to volunteer in an afterschool program. Brittany loves music, laughing, and trying to learn languages. She currently resides in Waubaushene, Ontario where she is spending lots of time outdoors with her family’s puppy, Sonny, and is learning French with her son.
