Christie is the Executive Vice President & General Counsel at Aypa Power. Christie previously maintained a private practice at Torys LLP, with a focus on utility-scale renewable energy and transmission projects, P3 infrastructure, and Indigenous partnerships. She represented the Canadian Bar Association at the COP15 and COP16 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations, and is a former Executive Committee member of the Climate Change Lawyers Network.

Christie holds a J.D. (Hons.) from the University of Toronto and is called to the bars of New York, Ontario, and the Northwest Territories.
