Jill is an experienced teacher, department head, consultant, and author. For the past five years, she coordinated a national history education reform initiative called The Historical Thinking Project. Jill’s expertise is in facilitating professional development for educators and administrators who want to impact student achievement through instructional excellence. Jill has worked with teams of educators in every province and territory, and acts as a consultant to educational publishers and other resource providers.
Her ninth book, IQ: An Inquiry-Based Approach to Learning, is a professional development resource for educators. It was published by Oxford University Press in the spring of 2014. She also writes for the CBC, Pearson Education, Discovery Education, and is an instructor at OISE, in Toronto, Ontario.
