Assuming the role of Director of Teacher Development, Nicole brings a wealth of experience and passion to the position. With a diverse skill set encompassing leadership, collaboration, and innovation, Nicole is committed to fostering supportive and enriching learning environments. Nicole’s educational journey includes roles as a high school teacher, Education Director with the Manitoba Métis Federation, curriculum developer and educational consultant, and most recently a B.Ed. instructor at the University of Winnipeg.
Currently pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Administration, Foundations, and Psychology degree at the University of Manitoba, she holds a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg. Her focus on transformative leadership is evident in her advocacy for reconciliation, promotion of equity, and dedication to fostering holistic growth. This commitment to transformative leadership is woven into her philosophy, emphasizing the building of strong relationships, a focus on professional development, and a genuine emphasis on community well-being.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Nicole is family-oriented, a dog and rabbit mom, and finds joy in travel, painting, and archery. Eager to contribute her skills and enthusiasm, Nicole looks forward to making a lasting impact on education alongside the Gakino’amaage team.
